The ODF Chemistry Laboratory is a dedicated group within STS but also performs analyses for many investigators in the Oceanographic community.
Analyses include dissolved inorganic nutrients, dissolved oxygen and salinity, both at sea in a real-time environment and ashore.
Attention is given to producing world-class reference data. The laboratory has participated in many major oceanographic expeditions over the last 40 years, including GEOSECS, TTO, SAVE, WOCE, JGOFS, CLIVAR and SBI.
A complete shore analysis facility is available for:
- Nutrients (N+N, PO4, SiO3, NO2, NH4),
- Dissolved Oxygen, and
- Salinity.
A glassware calibration facility is also available.
